My Learning Diary Day 10: January 25, 2023

Day was started by some learning along with activities.  Generally we all know what is effective communication and what are the barriers to information.  But in this session we practically dealt with the situation.  

Situation was like resource person whispered something in the ear of first person in English. Now that person have to pass it to another and so on.  Finally last person have to write what she heard.  It was very funny that wrong message was conveyed and that too in Hindi.  This game is called Chinese Whisper.

This is an example of communication barrier.  In my school I am going to conduct this activity.  One new Acronym SOLER picked from this session. Session was good.

There was another session on sexual harassment of women at work place : Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Act 2013.  This Act came into existence after Bhanwari Devi Case.  VISHAKHA NGO stood by Bhanwari Devi. 

I understood what is sexual harassment, who is employer, what are the circumstances that lead to sexual harassment, Internal audit committee, Local complaint committee, timeline, confidentiality, conciliation , etc. 

It was the day when participants have to present the topics pre assigned to them and they presented wonderfully.
